The performance of carbon at a fraction of the cost. Our GFC (Glass Fibre Composite) sailboat steering wheels are manufactured using our new mould injection process. In the past few years we have worked hard to optimize the build process. This way we can always maintain the same strength and quality as well as making production times faster and more optimized. The unique bit is that the sailboat steering wheel is made of glass fibre composite with an aluminium hub so is a similar overall weight to the 5 spoke carbon version. Best of all, it is a third of the price.

🔧 Compatibility (Standard vs Slim Hub)
Carbonautica GFC wheels are supplied with standard aluminium hubs compatible with major steering systems, ensuring easy integration. The slim versions are fully compatible with below systems and offer a direct replacement for existing stainles steel wheels. In many cases the existing brake spiners retain theri functions as well:
- Edson (1” cone)
- Lewmar (25mm cone)
- Jefa (25 mm)
- Goiot (25mm cone)
